Dermal filler treatment involves the injection of small amounts of hyaluronic acid gel under the skin’s surface in order to temporarily correct wrinkles, folds, scars and other depressions, for a more plumped complexion. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that retains moisture to boost hydration and elasticity. It is perfect for supporting facial structures and tissues, which will leave your skin looking rejuvenated.
After the first treatment an additional treatment of filler may be needed to achieve the desired level of correction. The need for additional treatments varies from patient to patient.
Over time, the filler will gradually break down and be absorbed by your body. As a result, injections will need to be repeated to maintain the desired effect. Dermal fillers typically last between 6 and 12 months depending on the product used, the area of the face and the speed at which your body breaks down the filler.
Areas currently available are; Nasolabial folds, which are the lines from your nose to your mouth; Peri-oral lines, which are lines on your upper lip, sometimes referred to as smoker’s lines; and Marionette lines, which are the lines that can appear from your mouth to your chin.
Please note that the outcome for this treatment is not guaranteed. The outcome may vary between patients, and you may require more than a single treatment to achieve your desired outcome.
