What are Polynucleotides?
Newest® and Plinest® are injectable products designed to improve skin health and appearance. They contain polynucleotides, derived from trout sperm and hyaluronic acid. Polynucleotides are clinically proven to stimulate the biological regeneration of the skin architecture, including collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid, blood vessels, the cells which manufacture pigment, and supporting fat cells. Hyaluronic specifically improves skin hydration and supports the healthy function of the skin.
Treatment with polynucleotide is indicated to improve skin texture, improve skin discolouration, skin tone, fine lines, hydration and radiance.
What is the treatment schedule?
Initial course consists of 3-4 treatments, four weeks apart.
One treatment is then required every 6 months to maintain results.
Please note that the outcome for these treatments are not guaranteed. The outcome may vary between patients, and you may require more treatments to achieve your desired outcome.
FAQ
- Does it hurt? Each treatment involves multiple very superficial injections which might pinch or sting slightly, but numbing cream is applied to the area first to help with comfort.
- How long before I see the effects of the treatment? The effects can start to become visible from as little as 1 day but can take up to 4 weeks post treatment to see the full effect.
- How long will the effects last? The effects of polynucleotides can be visible for up to 6 months. The effects can be maintained longer with regular top up treatments.
- Will I need to do anything specific before treatment? Please just ensure you do not have an active outbreak of any skin conditions such as acne immediately prior to treatment. If you have an issue with an ongoing skin concern, please get in touch as we may be able to offer some alternative treatments. Please do no use any retinol for a week prior to treatment.
- Will I need to do anything specific after treatment? You will need to avoid alcohol, make up, exercise and heat for at least 24 hours after treatment. Please bear this in mind when booking treatments.
- Can I have this treatment if I am pregnant or breastfeeding? Unfortunately this treatment cannot be offered to anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
